Job Summary

The primary responsibility for this position is to perform daily maintenance and repairs to the building and grounds.

Essential Functions

Under general supervision:

  • Repair Fixtures and Equipment:
    Handle minor repairs that require a variety of basic skills
  • Perform Routine Maintenance:
    Conduct regular inspections to determine areas that need attention
  • Oversight of outside contractors for major building and equipment repairs:
    Obtain quotes
    Monitor work progress and performance
  • Miscellaneous Duties:
    Assemble/install new furniture/equipment
    Order building supplies and parts
    Monitor systems performance (HVAC, generators, etc.), in some cases via computer interface
Education/Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
  • At least one year of work experience in building maintenance preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes
  • Possesses basic computer knowledge such as keyboard skills, navigation of operating systems and the internet, and creation of simple communications and spreadsheets.
  • Self motivated and has the ability to take on challenges and be responsive to change
  • Ability to partner with other departments and interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
  • Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, in a diverse range of audiences and settings
  • Works independently with little or no supervision
  • Ability to act in situations with confidence, assertiveness, tact, and diplomacy
  • Ability to deal resolutely with sensitive issues; methods and techniques used in persuasion and negotiation of conflicts and problems
Physical Requirements

Performs heavy work; exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

FLSA and Compensation

This position is eligible for the following, subject to the company's then current policies and procedures:

  • Hourly Pay (All overtime must be pre-approved)
  • Employee benefits as determined by the company from time to time
HIPAA LEVEL

HIPAA Level identifies if the position is authorized to access, use or disclose protected health information.
